Joe Critelli

Joe Critelli is Senior Director of Imperium Consulting Group based in New York, NY. During his extensive career, Joe has accumulated 35 years of experience working in various aspects of the insurance industry, including working for both the policyholder and the carrier. Joe has spent the majority of his career consulting and providing forensic accounting services, damage management and financial investigation support for national and international clients. Joe's particular insurance expertise includes commercial property claim preparation, business interruption, builder’s risk, construction delay and defect, cyberattack claims, expert witness and other property/casualty insurance matters. He has also worked as a Chief Financial Officer within the private sector.
Outside of work, Joe is passionate about his family, cooking, the New York Yankees and the Arsenal Football Club.
Joe began his career as an auditor with KPMG, LLC. After several years of auditing, he transitioned to work as a forensic accounting consultant as part of the property loss adjustment team for major P&C insurance carriers. Over time, he sharpened his focus and took his experience to provide forensic accounting for policyholders, private and public corporate entities and other organizations.
Joe has qualified as a financial damage expert for a variety of project types, including serving as an expert in financial damages and business interruption calculations. He has measured and investigated financial impacts related to business interruption, property damage, cyber-breach response and other categories.
His experience includes leading multi-disciplined teams in the review and measurement of numerous damage and financial investigations. He has assisted trial attorneys with deposition and expert witness testimony and has consulted and advised privately held and Fortune 100 clients on matters worth millions to billions of dollars.
